
Summer in St. Louis brings a host of fun events to neighborhoods throughout the city. Don’t miss these four exciting summer activities we’ll be attending in St. Louis, MO.
1. Whitaker Music Festival at Missouri Botanical Garden
You can experience live music for free during this weekly outdoor concert series, which takes place at Missouri Botanical Garden all summer long. It kicks off on May 31 with the Lady J Hutson show and continues through August 2 with different artists every week. Bring a lawn chair or blanket along with a picnic for a relaxing evening.
The Whitaker Music Festival is also an excellent opportunity to explore the Missouri Botanical Garden. Admission is free on concert days after 5 p.m. and the live music starts at 7 p.m. The garden is located at 4344 Shaw Boulevard in St. Louis.
2. Shakespeare in the Park
This event is another opportunity to see an artistic performance while enjoying the green space in St. Louis. This year, the annual St. Louis Shakespeare Festival Production, Twelfth Night, will run at Forest Park from May 31 through June 25.
Performances are scheduled every Tuesday through Sunday night at 8 p.m. during the festival. General admission is free, and you don’t need a reservation to attend. Forest Park is located at 5595 Grand Drive in St. Louis.
3. Fair St. Louis
In operation for more than four decades, Fair St. Louis is one of the city’s biggest traditions. This giant celebration takes place every Independence Day, with live music and a fireworks spectacular. Video game enthusiasts can enter the Gateway Legends eSports Tournament during the fair.
The July 4 party concludes with fireworks with a view of the iconic St. Louis Arch at 9:30 p.m. Fair St. Louis is held at 301 Prospect Avenue in downtown St. Louis.
4. Moonlight Ramble
Cyclists can participate in this late-night bike ride on August 26 under a full moon. You can decorate your bike with lights so it glows as you cruise along the streets of St. Louis, on either a 7-mile or 15-mile route. The Moonlight Ramble also includes a street fair with food trucks, vendors, and live entertainment.
The Moonlight Ramble opens at 7 p.m. and the ride starts at 10 p.m., followed by live music and an after-party. It’s all happening at The Grove in St. Louis, 4512 Manchester Avenue. Participation is open to cyclists of all ages, and you can register either in advance or the day of the event.
